Welcome to WFEG's New Chair...Meet biodiversity champion Andy

Hi - I'm Andy, and I'm the new chair of WFEG. I've lived in Whittington for about 3 years now and have been a member of WFEG for most of that time.

I'm passionate about the natural environment, especially around biodiversity, habitats and planting for nature. I work for a company that builds and manages environmental solutions for water companies, and have lot of experience in wetlands and reedbeds. When I'm not working I enjoy wildlife photography, working in the garden and enjoying the great outdoors - so Whittington is a fantastic place to be, with so much wildlife, habitat and places to explore on our doorstep.

Taking over as Chair is a huge privilege, and also leaves me filling some pretty big shoes - but with the help of the rest of the management committee, I hope that we can bring some great initiatives, community engagement and some green ideas to you all. We are always on the look out for people to come and help us too, so if you see me around please come and say hello and share your ideas with me and the team.
