Lichfield Wildlife Group - Pipe Green Trust Walk - Saturday 18th May
Jane Arnold will be leading a visit to Pipe Green on Saturday 18th May at 10:30 am, to see some of the bird life and rich flora of this site, which includes four species of orchid.
The Green has been used for animal grazing since medieval times and is one of the few remaining examples of unimproved meadowland within Staffordshire.
Meet at car park off the A51 Western Bypass adjacent to football fields.
Village Produce Market - Saturday 18th May - Bell Inn Car Park
The Whittington Village Produce Market takes place on Saturday 18th May with its much loved local food stalls including Woodhouse Farm, St Giles Church Produce and Cake, Rattle and Roll, 9.30am to 1pm in the Bell Inn Car Park. Do come along to this fabulously friendly event and sample the delicious local produce. Teas and coffees available too!
Every 3rd Saturday of the month until November with the Christmas market on Saturday 14th December. New food, craft or plant stalls are always welcome - and also ones run by villagers looking to raise money for good causes including youth activities like guide/scout camps.
