WFEG has created and maintains many "green" spaces across the parish including the Community Orchard in Jubilee Park, Swan Meadow, River of Flowers verges and troughs. We'd like to hear what you think of these nature areas and what more we can all do to improve where we live.
On 15th April we invite you to join us at Whittington Village Hall to hear more about the recent Biodiversity Study completed for WFEG by Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and how the current WFEG projects link into this. We'll also be introducing the opportunity for everyone to get involved and to "ADOPT A PATCH" in the parish. Do you know of an area which you feel could be improved by planting bulbs, trees, wildflowers or space for a trough?
There will be displays, details of our current projects and more information on how you can get involved, as well as the opportunity to chat to WFEG members. No gardening knowledge is required to "ADOPT A PATCH" as you will be supported by WFEG members; all you need is the willingness to make a difference in your area to improve our green spaces. Come along on 15th April and find out more...
The Village Market returns on Saturday 15th April and will run on the third Saturday of the month until October. Please pop along and support local groups and businesses.
