Two weeks ago, with the support of the Parish Council, WFEG put in an "Expression of Interest" (EoI) to the National Lottery Heritage Fund to seek support for an ambitious project to support wildlife and rebuild biodiversity across our Parish.
This Tuesday we heard that the EoI has been accepted and we have been invited to apply for development funding to enable us to produce a detailed bid and mount a consultation programme with all sections of our community.
At the end of that time we would be able to apply for project funding for a period of up to 5 years. We hope to obtain around £500,000 but we'll need support from all of you! Watch this space.
