Whittington Country Market May + Bike repairs, plant swap, and clog dancers!

Village Food Market - Saturday 20th May

The April Food Market was a big hit, helped by sunny weather and the next one will be on Saturday 20th May in the Bell Car Park from 9.30am to 1pm and promises to be a bumper one. We’ve got a few special events to tempt you along.

First Lichfield Re-Cycle have promised to be there offering help on bike repairs and general advice on bikes and cycling  - from 10am - 12noon only, so do take advantage of this opportunity and bring your bikes along.

WFEG are running a special seed and plant swap session – they’ll be bringing plants, seedlings and unused seeds which folk can take away in return for a small donation. Tomato plants, Cosmos, Dahlias and Anthirinums. If you have any spares you are encouraged to bring them along rather than let them go to waste!

There’ll be the usual selection of super local goodies including local beef and pork, seasonal veg, preserves, fresh bread and cakes, plus Whittington apple juice - and Kam the Curryman is promising to be back!

The Parish Council are holding a display of their work in the Village Hall that day from 10am to 2pm – with free tea, coffee and biscuits.

To top it all we are expecting the return of the Hotpots (birth of granddaughter permitting!) – the inimitable Lancashire Clog dancing duo. Hope to see y’all there.
