Saturday is Apple Day! Special Apple Day Market with kids' activities, appley stuff and much, much more.

This Saturday 15th October it's the Whittington Apple Day Market. Bring along your (decent quality) surplus apples (cookers or eaters) and take away some lovely juice after processing with WFEG's apple crusher and press. If possible bring a container e.g. old milk containers.

There'll be a variety of children's activities including the entertaining Paul Hand from Shropshire - always with something new up his sleeve and amusement for the kids.

We’ll be displaying the entries for the children’s apple dressing competition and announcing the results and there’ll be games and activities too like making apple pigs. Also you’ll have the chance to sample the superb Whittington Hero apple, found on the Ranges, and the opportunity to buy grafted trees.

WFEG will also be selling a lovely choice of beautiful bee-friendly bulbs (at great prices) - you'll find lots of choice with early-flowering crocuses, anemones and chionodoxa, summer stalwarts like alliums and foxtail lilies, shade-lovers such as dogs-tooth violets and star-of-Bethlehem, and much more.

All happening in the Bell Inn Car Park from 9.30am to 1pm - and the usual great line-up of yummy produce stalls – with lots of appley produce - plus a newbie - Little Bow Peep presenting handmade children's clothes and accessories.
